About Me

I became an artist during a season of my life where there was a lot of stress and challenges at work and at home. I needed to find balance by reconnecting to my deep values and treasured memories. As I learned to paint, I wanted to capture the essence of these values and create paintings that serve as touchstones that help my collectors feel more connected to the world around them.  I work from photos that I take wherever I go - whether distant locations or on the way to work. I paint from my experiences and strive to communicate a sense of place. Sometimes it is the expression of an animal or child, and often it is a glimpse of unusual colors in a landscape.
